About the SchoolWe are looking for an inspiring and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Derby. Role OverviewAs a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that align with the National Curriculum, while fostering a love of learning and encouraging children to reach their academic and personal potential. You will work with children across a range of abilities and be committed to creating an inclusive classroom where every child's needs are met. Your role will include planning and delivering lessons, assessing pupil progress, and contributing to the overall development of the school community.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of students
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to ensure high-quality learning
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing timely feedback and next steps
- Foster a positive classroom environment based on respect, cooperation, and inclusivity
- Build strong relationships with students, ensuring their well-being and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to create a cohesive, engaging curriculum
- Participate in regular staff meetings, professional development, and training
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress, behavior, and school activities
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events
- Uphold the school's ethos and values, maintaining high standards of behavior and safeguarding
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) or a strong understanding of the age group
- A sound knowledge of the National Curriculum and best practices for effective teaching
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for education and a commitment to making a positive impact on children's learning and development
