About Us

We are a friendly and inclusive primary school committed to providing a nurturing and engaging environment for our pupils. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team.

The Role

As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences for children aged 5-7. You will work with individuals and small groups to help pupils develop their literacy, numeracy, and social skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities
• Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning
• Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
• Help prepare learning materials and resources
• Support children with additional needs where required
• Encourage a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting (desirable)
• A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant - desirable but not essential)
