Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Key Accounts Negotiator to join our team at Barnstaple.
The RoleIn this role, you will have the responsibility to support the Key Accounts Manager in maintaining and developing current customer accounts assigned to Key Accounts, building strong customer relationships through face-to-face or over-the-phone interactions.
The Requirements- Provide customers with advice and guidance on the selection of products.
- Ensure all enquiries and quotations are priced quickly and efficiently, then followed up.
- Negotiate prices following guidance from the Key Accounts Manager.
- Take full ownership of your ledger / key accounts allocated and manage effectively.
- Develop new business to achieve customer base growth.
- Support external representatives in developing key accounts and maximising sales.
- Maximise sales using linked selling and add-on strategies.
- Monitor and effectively use customer terms.
- Ensure all customer special orders and directs are placed with preferred suppliers.
- Be aware of competitors' and customers' activities to identify commercial threats and sales opportunities.
- Support the strategic key accounts plan to ensure all financial targets are achieved for key accounts and the company.
- Raise awareness and profile of the building offer across the business.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and supply partners.
- Develop product knowledge by attending supplier events and in-house training via IBMG coach.
- Ensure regular use of the sales and pricing sections on The Source to guide pricing and understand business development.

The role will be based at our Branch Support Centre in Barnstaple.
Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00.
