Introduction

Erudus is a SaaS business that is fast becoming the go-to source of data for the food industry. We're an ambitious, growing company looking to further drive growth, and we are actively recruiting for a Key Account Manager to join our team, one who can help contribute to our 2026 expansion plans.

This newly created role offers a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to our goal of becoming the industry's go-to for food data. If you're eager to kick-start your career in the intersections of food and technology, this is your chance to become an integral part of a thriving team.

The Key Account Manager will play a pivotal role, taking full ownership of a major key account. You will be the primary point of contact, responsible for the success of the partnership. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the client/customer relationship, including high-level commercial and strategic direction, relationship management, and the essential day-to-day operational tasks that keep the account running smoothly.

In addition to client-facing responsibilities, you will provide direct line management for two team members, overseeing their workload, KPI's, and assisting their personal development, ensuring the team delivers on both high-level strategy and the essential day-to-day operational tasks.

Role Overview

The role is centered on managing a major account, with a focus on operational excellence and relationships:

  • Relationship Management: Leading weekly catch-ups with internal and external key stakeholders. Fortnightly supplier meetings to review progress and solve queries.
  • Data Stewardship: Reviewing management information weekly to drive progress, identifying issues such as product duplicates, mismatched data, or other data issues.
  • Team Leadership: Actively lead and line manage two team members, including regular 1-to-1s, performance reviews, and coaching to foster professional growth.
  • Project Oversight: Managing data, reports, and escalations both internally and externally. Working cross department on technical queries, with both our Technical and Development teams when necessary.
  • Internal Leadership: Managing internal team workflows, reviewing data, and driving projects internally.
Requirements

We welcome candidates who demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and want to contribute to and be part of a tight-knit team focused on doing the right thing and building a successful client/customer relationship.

  • Account Leader: You are comfortable managing the commercial aspects of a major partnership while staying "hands-on" with daily tasks.
  • Analytical & Methodical: You enjoy spotting patterns in data and won't rest until an "issue" is resolved.
  • People Management: Previous experience in line management or team leadership is preferred but not essential. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about helping others succeed and grow; for the right person, full training and support in people management will be provided.
  • A Great Communicator: You can lead a meeting with a global brand one hour and coordinate with our internal developers the next.
  • Proactive: You don't just report problems; you suggest ways to stop them from happening again.
