Junior Software Developer

About the role

We're looking for a Junior Software Developer with hands-on experience across the MERN stack, Python, and databases, along with foundational exposure to machine learning and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the full stack and has practical (not just theoretical) experience applying ML in a real-world or industry setting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using React.js (frontend) and Node.js (backend).
• Build and integrate backend services and APIs using Python with a web framework (e.g. Django, Flask, or FastAPI).
• Design, query, and manage relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQL, MongoDB).
• Work on machine learning tasks including object detection, model training, and deployment.
• Deploy and manage applications using basic AWS cloud services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver clean, scalable, and maintainable code.

Required skills

• Frontend: React.js.
• Backend: Node.js, Python (with experience in at least one web framework).
• Databases: PostgreSQL, SQL, MongoDB.
• Machine learning: Practical/industrial experience with object detection, model training, and deployment (not just coursework or personal projects).
• Cloud: Basic working knowledge of AWS.

Nice to have

• Exposure to REST API design and integration.
• Familiarity with version control (Git).
• Understanding of basic DevOps or CI/CD concepts.
