Role purpose
As a QA Engineer at LBR, your primary responsibility is to build, maintain and run automated tests with the aim of preventing defects entering the production environment.
You will also help improve the quality of work delivered by the software development teams (in both the UK and US) by using both automated and manual testing techniques, measuring success against the original requirements agreed with the product development teams.
Key Responsibilities- Work alongside the QA, Development and Product teams to test and ensure the successful delivery of the software development roadmap to constantly improve customer facing products.
- Maintain existing automated regression tests across all our projects.
- Develop new browser and API automation tests in accordance with business objectives and specifications.
- Execute tests for regression runs and report the results back to the Dev, Product and QA leads.
- Where required, execution of manual tests in order to deliver the acceptance criteria.
- Work to industry best practices, patterns, toolsets, and standards around automated and manual testing.
- Promote early test practices and continuous integration processes to enable the QA team to deliver faster through automation.
- Work within the company's processes and support company initiatives.
- At least two years of experience in a test automation role and/or ISEB software testing certifications.
- Understand the principles of ensuring the reliability and correctness of software that meets business needs.
- Self-motivated and driven.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Good self-organisational skills.
- Experience of working within an Agile software development environment.
- Strong IT knowledge and ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Good business and process analysis skills.
- Knowledge of best practice testing principles.
- Ability to prioritise work and to escalate where necessary.
- Capable of developing good relationships with product managers and stakeholders.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Clear communicator.
- Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness.
- Experience with Assistive AI technologies e.g Cursor, Copilot or Langchain (desirable)
