Description

An exciting opportunity to be part of a small growing Fixed Income team at a Global Asset Management firm. The main purpose of this role is to assist in the management of an emerging market fixed income hard currency bond portfolio.

Key Tasks:

  1. Assist the lead Portfolio Manager in the implementation of the investment strategy and adapt those decisions according to client objectives and constraints.
  2. Build models to generate trade ideas and contribute to the portfolio construction process.
  3. Liaise with the Quant Research team on research ideas and implementation of a quantitatively based benchmark replication model.
  4. Involved in ad-hoc projects to support the build-out of quantitative research underpinning country and securities valuations.

Experience Required:

  1. Minimum 4 years in Fixed Income analysis or portfolio management.
  2. Prior experience working in Emerging Markets.
  3. Knowledge of optimisation algorithms.
  4. Excellent analytical skills; coding ability in VBA and Python would be beneficial.
  5. Strong academic profile; Economics, Finance or quantitative related degree.
