Junior Electrical Project Manager

Express Recruitment are working alongside a rapidly growing industrial equipment supplier who are leaders within their niche field. Due to continued year on year financial growth and the announcement of several long-term lucrative contracts, our client is seeking a proactive and motivated Junior Electrical Project & Service Manager to assist in the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of electrical projects and service contracts from concept to completion.

This role is ideal for an Electrician/Electrical Engineer early in their career who is eager to gain practical experience, take ownership of key responsibilities, and grow within a knowledgeable and supportive team environment.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive starting salary of up to c£36,000 alongside travel allowances, annual bonus scheme, internal training scheme and genuine growth opportunities across the organisation.

• Contribute to the successful delivery of end-to-end project lifecycles from concept to delivery
• Provide technical support to both internal and external stakeholders, providing regular progress updates across portfolio of projects
• Shadow Senior Project Manager during meetings with clients to learn and discuss project timelines, budgets, potential issues that arise and what solutions are decided upon
• Liaise with internal Engineering departments to update them of project modifications and outline new project procedures
• Support wider projects team in scheduling engineering tasks for Field Service Electrical Engineers
• Prepare and submit Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for approval
• Maintain all relevant project documentation and ensure it is collated correctly within the company's management system
• Attend client sites with Project Manager to obtain key information for project scope and future planning
• Learn and perfect technical product knowledge across the company's suite of products, including programmable logic controllers, inverters, variable speed drives and LV equipment

Skills & Qualifications

• Ideally apprentice trained Electrician with proven hands-on capabilities (degree in Electrical Engineering or similar also welcomed)
• Previous experience working with control panels, inverters or MCCs desirable
• Previous experience in a project-based role desirable but not essential
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to demonstrate calmness under pressure and when working to tight project deadlines
• Proficient IT skills, mainly with MS office packages, including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Full UK driving license essential
