We're now looking for a motivated and curious Junior DevOps / Cloud Engineer to join our team. You'll work closely with experienced engineers to help build, maintain, and improve our AWS-based infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with modern DevOps tools and practices while contributing to real-world projects.

Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our London office & 2 days working from home

Reporting to: Technology Manager

These are some of the key components to the position:
  • Support Cloud Infrastructure: Assist in maintaining and improving our AWS environment, working with services like EC2, ECS, Aurora, Route 53, and ACM.

  • Learn Infrastructure as Code: Help implement and maintain infrastructure using tools like Terraform or Pulumi, with guidance from senior team members.

  • Work with Containers: Support the deployment and management of Docker containers in our Kubernetes environment (AWS EKS).

  • Assist in Automation: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) to help ensure smooth and reliable deployments.

  • Participate in Monitoring: Help set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to keep systems healthy and visible.

  • Configuration Management: Learn to use Ansible to automate configuration tasks and maintain consistency across environments.

  • Collaborate & Grow: Work alongside development and security teams, learning best practices and exploring new technologies.

What will you bring to the team?
  • Work experience (or equivalent academic projects/internships) in cloud or DevOps-related work.

  • Basic understanding of AWS services and cloud concepts.

  • Familiarity with at least one Infrastructure as Code tool (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar).

  • Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes concepts.

  • Some experience with Linux systems and basic scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).

  • Interest in CI/CD tools and processes.

  • Eagerness to learn observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.).

  • Problem-solving mindset and willingness to troubleshoot with guidance.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
