Responsibilities:

  • Racking and stacking of networking and server hardware
  • Running power and connectivity cabling in DC environments
  • Updating IOS on devices, pasting configs under supervision
  • Following detailed work plans and instructions accurately
  • Performing hardware swaps, device upgrades, and patching
  • Liaising with field engineers who bring kit to site as needed

Requirements:

  • Practical hands-on experience in a Data Centre environment
  • Comfortable working with hardware, cabling, and physical builds
  • Basic networking knowledge - ability to follow instructions to log in to switches and update configurations
  • UK Security Clearance (SC) or the ability to obtain it
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel between sites: Corsham, Farnborough, Chertsey, Hayes
  • Able to work methodically and follow structured plans

Clearance:

  • SC Cleared or SC Clearable (UK)

Travel:

  • Mileage paid at £0.45/mile (use your own car or company van from Cirencester)
