Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.
On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Junior Data & Analytics Analyst for a 12 Month contract based in Castle Donington.
The Role & Responsibilities:
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our team for a 12-month contract. This role is critical in unlocking business value through the analysis of complex data sets, with a particular focus on insights generated from an internal chatbot used across the organisation. Your work will directly support strategic initiatives such as Containment and Net Promoter Score (NPS), enabling data-driven decision-making and improvements to customer and colleague experiences.
- Data Analysis & Insight Generation
Analyse large, complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities that inform business decisions. Chatbot Data Insights
Leverage chatbot interaction data to identify user needs, inform service improvements, and support containment and NPS initiatives.Analytical Support for Business Solutions
Provide high-quality analytical input into business processes and initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.Requirements Gathering & Documentation
Capture, validate, and document business and data requirements in alignment with strategic objectives.Business Modelling & Process Mapping
Develop high-level operating models and detailed process documentation, including training and reference materials.Data Governance & Best Practices
Establish and promote data standards and best practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across the organisation.
What we require from the Candidate:
Statistical & Analytical Expertise
Strong understanding of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, and data modelling techniques.Technical Proficiency
Hands-on experience with data analysis tools (eg Python, R, SQL) and data visualisation platforms (eg Power BI, Tableau).Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
Clear and concise communicator with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.Problem Solving & Critical Thinking
Proactive in identifying data quality issues and opportunities for process improvement.Attention to Detail
Skilled in data cleansing, validation, and ensuring the integrity of analytical outputs.
