Overview

Anderselite are working with a contractor who are responsible for constructing basements beneath existing buildings and in open site, building reinforced concrete and steel frame structures. They have been operating in London for 24 years, annual turnover is approximately £10million.

Junior Contracts Manager

Location

2 days based in Farnborough and 3 days working on sites (in and around London).

Salary

£30k to £35k + Benefits

Summary

The role is for a graduate with between 1-3 years experience working in groundworks or structures and allows for a period of familiarisation with the industry, the job role and its responsibilities, it will lead to running your own sites and managing your own basement contracts.

Requirements

• Graduate with 1-3 years experience working in groundworks or structures.
• Willingness to balance office work with site visits; head office is based in Farnborough and project sites are spread across London.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills to liaise with Clients, Architects, Engineers and Project Managers.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in running basement projects, including attending site meetings with Clients, Architects, Engineers and Project Managers.
• Liaise with site foremen to ensure compliance with drawings and project programmes.
• Undertake site measurements including measuring for steel beams and work with steel suppliers to produce and procure steel frames.
• Complete site safety audits and pre-pour inspections on reinforced concrete slabs.
• As experience grows, take on responsibility for managing own projects including health and safety, quality, programme, costs, subcontractor management and client management.
