Overview

Job Opportunity at Laidlaw Opera Trust: Research and Administrative Executive. We are hiring to support outstanding opera productions and innovation through sector research, relationship management, and clear communications.

Responsibilities
  • Database Management: Maintain and update LOT's database of UK and Ireland opera companies and sector contacts.
  • Content Creation & Social Media: Take ownership of the LOT social media presence. Develop engaging content and manage LOT's social media accounts to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Website Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain the LOT website to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Administrative Support: Manage gift agreements, collect and organise grantee opera company reports, and handle associated paperwork efficiently. Liaise with grantee companies on publicising activities and LOT support through press releases, website and social media. Work closely with the LOT CEO to support activities and optimise performance. Support the CEO and events team on events related to opera administration, including supplier liaison, speakers, attendance and hosting.
  • Strong research skills with superb attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete tasks quickly and to a high standard.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, change and self-sufficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and engage effectively with opera companies and stakeholders.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Interest in music and the performing arts.
  • Experience in managing social media platforms and creating digital content.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS).
  • Familiarity with CRM (e.g., HubSpot).
  • Photoshop or other design software
  • WordPress or other blogging tool knowledge
  • Virtual events hosting expertise

You will need to be in London two days a week.

Compensation

Competitive, based on experience. Salary range: £11,200 for graduate trainees - £14,000 for experienced candidates. (FTE £28,000 - £35,000)
