Position summaryBuild solutions or break down technical problems
Manage a small team of engineers, overseeing design, implementation, and delivery of multiple initiatives
Develop secure, high-quality production code, review and debug code written by others
Lead triage and resolution of adhoc, client-impacting issues
Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability
Conduct evaluation sessions with external and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials
Own the delivery of features across the development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and support
Lead communities of practice to promote awareness and use of new technologies
Contribute to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills- Formal training or certification in Software Engineering concepts
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages
- Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a discipline (e.g., cloud, AI, ML, mobile)
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems
- Practical cloud-native experience
- Proficiency with Java (Spring Boot), Kafka, SQL and NoSQL databases
- Cloud Certifications
- Experience managing software engineering talent
