Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer with strong AWS cloud expertise to join our client's development team in Bournemouth. This role is fully on-site (5 days per week) and will focus on designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-grade applications that leverage both core Java technologies and AWS cloud services.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about building scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions while working closely with cross-functional teams including architects, DevOps, QA, and product managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications in line with business requirements.

• Build and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS, ensuring scalability, performance, and resilience.

• Collaborate with solution architects to design microservices-based architectures.

• Develop APIs and integrations between internal and external systems.

• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevOps practices for efficient delivery.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise applications in production and test environments.

• Participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance, and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
