Java Developer

We're working with a global financial technology organisation building out a high-impact engineering team in Ireland. This is a backend role focused on designing and delivering scalable, low latency systems used in critical financial workflows.

This is a high visibility position where your work will directly contribute to onboarding new European clients and shaping core platform capabilities.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and building high performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Working on real time, event driven systems handling complex transaction flows
• Contributing to new client onboarding, customisation, and platform integration
• Collaborating with cross functional teams in a fast paced delivery environment
• Driving performance, scalability, and reliability improvements across services
• Engaging with senior stakeholders and providing regular project updates

What we're looking for

• 2 4+ years experience in backend development
• Strong Java experience with Spring Boot
• Experience building microservices and distributed systems
• Exposure to event driven architecture (Kafka or similar)
• Solid understanding of APIs (REST/gRPC) and system design
• Experience working in enterprise or financial services environments is a plus
