New Leaf Search has partnered with a sustainably focused UK technology asset and lease management specialist in its search for a Business Development Manager.

Salary: £40,000 - £75,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, London / Leeds / Manchester / Birmingham (Hybrid / Remote).

The Business Development Manager will help drive the company's ambitious growth plans to double its business within three years. This is a pivotal role for a motivated professional who can originate new business opportunities, build lasting client relationships, and contribute to shaping the company's future success.

Responsibilities
  • Originate direct customer new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, cold calling, and lead-generation tools (e.g. Lead Forensics, Sales Navigator, LinkedIn).
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline aligned to business growth targets.
  • Meet potential clients to identify funding needs and present tailored leasing and subscription-based solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across client organisations.
  • Collaborate with management to prepare proposals, pricing, and tailored value-added service packages.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and onboarding.
  • Handle negotiations effectively, demonstrating commercial acumen and professionalism.
  • Maintain detailed CRM records and accurate forecasts.
Qualifications / Person Specification
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in new business development, ideally in asset finance or technology leasing.
  • Proven ability to self-generate leads and convert prospects into recurring business.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of client financials and the fundamentals of credit.
  • Commercially minded with a strong interest in technology and innovation.
  • Entrepreneurial, energetic, and persistent, with the confidence to operate in a competitive marketplace.

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly Asset Finance and Leasing. You will also require relevant in-country experience, without which, your application will not be considered.
