ITAM Specialist - Contract Role

Location: Bradford, Yorkshire

Working Arrangement: On site, 5 days per week, inside IR35

Duration: 6 months

Day Rate: Up to £375

A leading utilities organisation is seeking an experienced ITAM Specialist to take ownership of its IT asset management function. This is a hands-on role covering the full life cycle of hardware, software, cloud services and licences, while supporting major change and rollout activity across the business.

You'll be the go-to expert for asset governance, data accuracy and compliance, working closely with project teams and senior stakeholders to ensure the organisation maintains a robust, efficient and audit-ready asset estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day IT asset administration, including creation, updates, moves, disposals and reconciliation against purchase records and inventories.
  • Support and when required, lead rollout activity such as device refresh programmes, OS upgrades, application deployments and SaaS onboarding.
  • Ensure all assets are correctly built, tagged, assigned and recorded throughout their life cycle.
  • Investigate and resolve asset-related issues including missing or duplicate records, ownership conflicts, build discrepancies and non-compliance findings.
  • Handle escalated queries from project teams and IT leadership, providing clear insight into asset status, costs, entitlements and risks.
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc reporting on utilisation, compliance, life cycle status and renewal timelines to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Service Desk, Infrastructure, Security, Procurement and Finance to align asset data with operational, financial and security requirements.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of ITAM processes, standards and controls, including automation and data quality initiatives.
  • Ensure all activity adheres to internal policies, contractual obligations, regulatory requirements and audit expectations.
