IT Support Engineer - Microsoft environment - Reading
TrinIT Talent are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join a growing Global IT Services provider delivering 24x7x365 support to a large UK-based MSP client. This is a Hybrid working role based in Reading/Remote paying up to £30,000 per annum.
You will provide 1st and some 2nd line support across infrastructure, connectivity, security and managed service products, working via phone, email and remote tools.
Responsibilities include:
- Strong Microsoft OS knowledge (Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Intune, Entra ID/Azure AD, Group Policy)
- Responding to monitoring and infrastructure alerts
- Managing and progressing tickets in line with SLAs
- Performing hardware break/fix and liaising with vendors
- Responding to EDR alerts as part of SOC operations
- Escalating complex issues to 3rd line
- Maintaining accurate ticket documentation and customer updates
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Passion for IT and a willingness to learn are essential.
Rota Pattern
- 4 days (8:30am-8:30pm)
- 4 days off
- 4 nights (8:30pm-8:30am)
- 4 days off
Average 42 hours per week. Shift allowance included in base salary
