Job Description
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Consultant to join our team supporting enterprise-level vulnerability management and application control. The ideal candidate will have a "can do" attitude and be comfortable quickly acquiring new skills whilst leveraging existing knowledge to prevent problems before they arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilise enterprise toolsets to manage backlog of laptop patching tasks to support the closure of outstanding vulnerabilities
  • Deliver status reports demonstrating progress against patching requirements
  • Conduct remote end-user interactions to support troubleshooting of failed patching events
  • Set up and deploy AppLocker within the estate, including documenting processes and procedures
  • Manage applications that have not installed, uninstalled or updated to the latest version
  • Remove unauthorised applications requiring uninstallation
  • Use MECM (SCCM), Remote Control Viewer and other enterprise tools for system management
  • Create and upload Excel spreadsheets to SharePoint for Real Time work updates
  • Perform Wake On LAN on targeted collections
  • Identify devices requiring attention for IT management and support teams
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience with AppLocker setup, deployment and documentation
  • Strong knowledge of PowerShell Scripting and tools such as PSEXEC
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Initiative to implement industry best practices
  • Talent for identifying opportunities to improve/evolve service and technology platforms
  • Experience with testing and validation of changes and/or deployments
  • Capability to provide assessment around improvements and efficiencies
  • Familiarity with corporate IT processes to ensure successful delivery
