About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and versatile IT Specialist to manage, support, and improve our technology systems across the organisation. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands on experience in Microsoft 365, Excel automation, and general IT infrastructure who enjoys working in a dynamic small business environment.
You will be responsible for ensuring smooth day to day IT operations, developing efficient data and automation solutions, supporting staff with technical issues, and driving continuous improvement in digital processes.
Key Responsibilities IT Systems Management- Provide technical support for all IT hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain PCs, printers, and mobile devices.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security across Microsoft 365 and Azure AD.
- Monitor system performance, backups, and updates to ensure data integrity and uptime.
- Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers when necessary.
- Develop and maintain automated solutions using Excel (VBA, Power Query, Power Automate).
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and SharePoint Lists.
- Automate repetitive administrative and reporting tasks to improve efficiency.
- Support integration between Microsoft applications (Planner, To Do, Lists, Teams, Power Automate, etc.).
- Design and manage databases, spreadsheets, and reporting systems for business operations.
- Collect, analyse, and present data for management decision making.
- Ensure data protection compliance and implement cybersecurity best practices.
- Provide staff training and user support on Microsoft tools and other business systems.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and licenses.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, email, and cloud service issues.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards.
- Proven experience in a similar "all-rounder" IT support or systems role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 environment (SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Power Automate, Planner, OneDrive).
- Advanced Excel skills including formulas, macros, VBA, and data modelling.
- Working knowledge of networking, hardware setup, and basic server administration.
- Experience with cloud automation and workflow integration.
- Excellent problem solving, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a small team setting.
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator / Power Platform Fundamentals (preferred but not essential).
- Experience with PowerShell scripting.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security compliance (e.g., GDPR).
