Job Description

Hi All,

I'm looking for an IT financial controller to join one of our clients in the retail industry in Amsterdam.

This includes AWS cloud migration, data-centre exit, Disaster Recovery modernisation, Data Lake migration, and the SAP journey to RISE.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A
  • Develop and manage budgets for cloud migration, data-center exit, and related initiatives.
  • Build cost models and forecasts for AWS consumption, decommissioning, and transition costs.
  • Track and validate benefits against the business case (eg, savings from data-center closures).
  • Conduct variance analysis and highlight financial risks or cost exposures.
  • Model financial implications of data-center exits
  • Ensure transparency and accuracy across all program expenditures.
  • Implement financial controls and continuously improve forecasting, cost allocation, and benefits tracking.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure cost structures (cloud, data centers, licensing, outsourcing).
  • Expertise in financial modelling, variance analysis, and cost optimization.
  • Familiarity with AWS economics and CAPEX-to-OPEX transitions.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to engage both finance and technical leaders.
  • Strong ability to simplify complex financial data for senior leadership.
