IT Portfolio Manager - Amsterdam - 8 months

Global Enterprise Partners is seeking an experienced IT Portfolio Manager to join a dynamic retail organisation in shaping and managing IT portfolios that align with business and technology strategies. .

As a key influencer, you will help improve processes, governance, and tools, ensuring global adoption of Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) practices. Your ability to communicate effectively and influence senior stakeholders will be critical to success

Role and responsabilities:

• Manage and curate up to two IT portfolios, from definition to execution.
• Drive adoption and continuous improvement of PPM processes, governance, and tools.
• Partner with finance to validate business cases and ensure strategic value creation.
• Collaborate with senior IT leadership and portfolio owners to build future roadmaps and align budgets with strategic plans.
• Prepare and lead portfolio meetings, providing analysis, resolving issues, and tracking actions.
• Align with program managers on status updates, escalations, and cross-portfolio priorities.
• Conduct regular portfolio and financial reviews for senior leadership.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years in portfolio and project management, including process design and governance.
• Hands-on delivery experience with large, transformational programs.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives in a global, matrixed environment.
• Expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, enterprise governance, and PPM structures.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• PMP, CSM, SAFe, or Portfolio certifications are a plus
• Retail industry experience is a plus
