This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious IT professional who's been working at 2nd/3rd line level (or similar) and is now looking to progress into leading and shaping an internal IT function.

You'll be joining one of the UK's fastest-growing industrial groups-multiple brands, several UK sites and big expansion plans. Technology is central to the business and they're now investing heavily in creating a more mature, efficient and future-ready IT set-up.

What you'll be doing:

This role gives you the perfect balance of hands-on technical work and the chance to grow into management responsibilities. At first, you'll focus on day-to-day IT support, improving stability and building trust across the business. As you settle in, you'll gradually take ownership of:

• IT operations
• Service management
• Infrastructure improvements
• Long-term IT planning

You'll play a key part in building a modern internal IT department-from helping introduce a structured service desk to improving infrastructure and shaping the future IT roadmap.

What we're looking for

• Good experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and cloud technologies
• Confident communication skills-able to work well with users across all levels
• Someone hands-on, proactive and keen to introduce better processes as the function grows
• Comfortable working with and managing 3rd-party suppliers
