About the company

A Securitisation Repository ("SR") authorized and supervised by the European Securities and Markets Authority ("ESMA") for the uploading, securing and retrieval of data and documentation relating to EU public securitisations or asset-backed securities ("ABS").

IT Team manager would need:

• To be familiar with the use of modern AI tools and work on AI-based projects.

• To work closely with a UK-based IT team.

• To be highly motivated and be able to work unsupervised; modern, professional, senior management-level response times.

• We need someone dedicated to the role that really cares; as such it would be our intention that the right candidate with targets met would buy into the business; equity deal.

• To be good with administrative tasks; get them done.

• To be good at documentation production; not a big part of the role, but needs to be capable with high standard of English.

• Capable of strong understanding in areas like information security.

• To meet the technical specification below.

Technical Specification

Company's main system is a large data processing and query system, which processes, validates, stores, and retrieves large volumes of data.

Most of the data is in the form of very large XML files.

It is written in C#/.NET and runs in Azure.

It uses:

• GoAnywhere SFTP & Gateway on Windows VMs for ingestion and query

• Azure Service Bus for messaging and orchestration

• Azure Functions to interact with Service Bus and initiate processes

• Azure Batch for processing

• Azure SQL for database storage

• Azure Storage Accounts for file storage

• Azure Web Applications for UI

Back-office functionality is provided by Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.

Systems are cloud-based; we do not have any significant in-house IT infrastructure beyond staff machines.

Development team uses Azure DevOps to support Scrum practices, keep code repositories, and to build and deploy code.

Training and support will be provided, but ultimately the knowledge and understanding the Company considers important to the technical operation of the business is:

• to understand the business context the Company operates in;

• to understand the technical requirements of the regulations the Company operates under;

• to understand the technical implementation of their solution and to be able to engineer change to it if necessary;

• to understand the Company's policies and procedures;

• to understand requirements and obligations for ICT security, and how they ought to be implemented, and to remain current in this understanding;

• to understand relationship with the regulator, and what is required to keep that healthy;

• to understand the business ambitions and limitations, and to be able to work to achieve the former within the latter.

The successful candidate will join:

• A Netherlands-based team of 3 executives

and

•A UK-based team of 2 non-executives, support staff and IT team.

Nature of business: financial data collection, checking, secure storage and dissemination; highly regulated.

There is an intention to fast-track successful candidate into senior management team.

Salary: up to gross total.
