Overview

IT Infrastructure Support Analyst

Our client, a bank based in Central London, is looking to recruit a young, talented individual as an IT Infrastructure Support Analyst.

You will have at least 5 years hands-on experience within IT Infrastructure, ideally from the Banking or Financial arena. Must have in depth knowledge of troubleshooting with Windows, Office 365, and ideally Banking applications and conferencing applications. You will be responsible for the support and maintenance of the IT infrastructure for the Branch and to provide IT support to staff. To assist in the response to service outages and other IT related problems as well as maintenance and upkeep of security of the systems in place.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first/second level support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, Phones/Mobiles and other IT equipment.
  • Laptop imaging experience needed (WIM USB, MDT, SCCM, Intune, AutoPilot) - Image creation, management and deployments.
  • Assist in user account management in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and banking systems.
  • Networking fundamentals - DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and LAN/WAN.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity measures.
  • Perform routine system backups and assist with disaster recovery operations.
  • Monitor system performance and report abnormalities to senior IT staff.
  • Assist with software updates, patches, and antivirus management.
  • Exposure to Fortinet solutions - FortiGate, FortiClient VPN, Symantec Endpoint Protection & Encryption, BitLocker, SentinelOne, Cisco Switches, Tenable, Group Policy, ManageEngine, Nagios, MFA.
  • Document IT procedures and maintain technical documentation relating to the role.
Technical/Functional skills
  • Proficient in common operating systems (Linux - Red Hat & Ubuntu, Windows OS - Win10 & 11).
  • Software proficiency - Office 365, SharePoint and Teams - Banking Applications.
  • Networking (IT).
  • Proficient in programming languages & automation (good to have).
  • Project management.
  • Data analysis.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • AV Support.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.

The Client is based in Central London.

This is a 12 month FTC position which is hybrid with at least 3 days a week in the office.

The salary for this position will be circa £35K.
