Overview of the role

As we move into a new phase of growth our IT Engineer will support us in installing, configuring and maintaining the Company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks and software to ensure optimal performance and security.

You will be responsible for troubleshooting all hardware and software issues as well as support user needs including onboarding new employees and devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Install, configure and maintain servers, networks and storage systems
  • Technical Support: Troubleshoot complex hardware, software and connectivity issues for users providing 1st line user support
  • System Maintenance: Perform system updates, patches, backups and security monitoring
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for IT assets, networks and procedures
  • Automation & Security: Develop scripts for automation and implementing security protocols.
  • Support new user onboarding, account setup and device provisioning
  • Manage printers, peripherals and office connectivity tools
  • Participate in project work on an ad-hoc basis: imminently this will involve leading the migration of our server infrastructure to the cloud but will also include, upgrades, rollouts, and tech integrations
Key Requirements
  • A minimum of 3-years' experience in IT support or systems administration
  • Experience with providing support for an ERP is essential, Orderwise experience is advantageous
  • Experience with Active Directory, group policies and user access
  • Networking knowledge is advantageous
  • COMP TIA A+, Network+ or vendor-specific certifications (Cisco, Microsoft) are advantageous
  • A supportive and people-focused attitude with strong communication skills
  • An ability to take ownership of projects and assigned tasks and see them through to completion
  • Experience of a broad range of technologies in a collaborative environment
Work Environment & Benefits Working Hours

You will be required to work 25 to 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday on site at our facility in Gloucester
