IT Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated IT Engineer to join our team in Zaventem. You will support and help build Japanese customers' IT infrastructure and network systems. This includes both remote and on-site technical support, as well as direct communication with clients to understand their needs and ensure reliable, secure systems.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and improve IT and network infrastructure (local/cloud)
• Provide remote and on-site technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
• Communicate directly with customers and ensure excellent service delivery
• Assist in system deployment, upgrades, and new technology implementation
• Monitor performance, apply security measures, and conduct preventive maintenance
• Document procedures, configurations, and technical updates
• Support sales and project teams with technical insights when needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Around 3 years of experience in IT system administration or support (entry-level applicants also considered)
• Good understanding of Windows, Linux, Active Directory, and basic network concepts
• Experience with PC setup, software installation, and basic troubleshooting
• Experience with routers/switches (e.g., Cisco) is a plus
• Experience with firewalls (e.g., FortiGate, Palo Alto) is a plus
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure) is a plus
• Familiarity with server racks, cabling, and power setup is an advantage
• Proficient in English and Japanese
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
• Able to visit customer sites when needed
• Reside in Belgium
• Valid driver's license
• Available for on-call and weekend support
