Job Description

Working from home, you as the IT & Digital IQA / Internal Verifier will ensure that assurance sampling and development activities are carried out in a timely and effective manner and in accordance with the Quality framework, individual development needs and external partner requirements, reporting to appropriate managers.

You will review the best practice seen from the assurance and development activities and contribute to the approaches to transfer and capture impact across the provision. It is expected that you will have a proactive approach to driving monthly completions with allocated delivery according to predictions.

Participate in the coaching and training provided to the delivery team and measure the impact on processes within the learner journey, such as CEIAG, teaching, learning, assessment, and next steps advice. Support operational teams in developing reflective and evaluative practice during self-assessment and improvement planning activities.

You should aim to positively challenge where quality is not met and drive continuous improvement in the professional practice of delivery staff. Liaising with appropriate staff to ensure that systems in support of teaching, learning and assessment, verification and any additional support required are fully implemented.

Supporting and ensuring delivery staff embed the cross-cutting wider skill themes of Safeguarding/Prevent, Equality & Diversity/Inclusion, British Values and Health & Safety/Well-being, digital skills development and on-line safety are throughout the learning programme.

Contribute to staff recruitment and induction process and assure the suitability of new delivery staff. You will work closely with the Curriculum Development team to advise on the development and revision of curriculum in the identified provision area.

Undertake CPD and sector updating to ensure the contractual requirements of the post and the needs of the department are met. Including embracing different styles of training techniques, e-learning, tutorial sessions or coaching.

As an IT & Digital IQA / Internal Verifier you will undertake observations of teaching, learning and assessment including learning walks on direct and where required subcontracted provision, including face to face and remote observations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Relevant teaching qualification
  • Sector Qualification to at least level 4 or 5 dependent on qualifications being sampled
  • Relevant Assessor Qualification
  • Relevant Internal Quality Assurer Qualification
  • Level 2 numeracy and literacy (or GCE/GCSE equivalent) (desirable)
