To co-ordinate and support the Investment Solutions team in servicing and managing strategic relationships with internal and external clients, as well as assisting with Business Development opportunities once passed over to Investment Solutions Team.
It is important to note that while the role will be exposed to all elements of the portfolio management process, it is not one that would be directly involved in investment decision making. The focus will be on client engagement, internal/external communication, portfolio analysis and some operational aspects of 7IM's fund and model business. The role would be an ideal stepping stone for someone wanting to develop an investment/business focussed career in the asset management space.
Some experience is beneficial but more important is a can-do attitude, a focus on being organised and willingness to learn quickly, amidst a busy timetable of planned actions in a dynamic workplace.
Responsibilities
Client Service
- Be the first point of contact for internal and external client queries, and build relationships with both parties.
- Create and compile high quality review packs for strategic partners.
- Draft / Review bespoke client commentaries and thought-pieces.
- Work with the wider Investment Solutions team to onboard new clients.
- Develop / Prepare reporting for key partners.
- Produce analysis to help key partners win / retain new business.
Sales
- Support new business meetings, conduct portfolio analysis and draw up investment proposals.
- Assist in producing high quality client-facing content to differentiate 7IM from peers.
- Engage with the Investment Strategy Team to understand investment views and ensure message consistency.
Investment Operations Support
- Support onboarding of propositions on new third-party platforms.
- Assist in ensuring efficient delivery of portfolios through the MPS service.
- Help develop operational processes to ensure consistent delivery of good client outcomes.
Compliance & Conduct
- Complete all CPD requirements.
- Update CRM activity for the Investment Solutions Team.

Qualifications

- Professional qualifications such as IMC are desirable or willingness to obtain them.
