Job Description
About the Role

The Global Investment Strategy Team in Davy Private Clients is looking for an Investment Analyst to support the development and communication of the team's outlook on global economies and markets. The Analyst will report to the Head of Investment Strategy of Davy Wealth Management and work closely with investment selection and portfolio construction teams to drive allocation policy for discretionary and advisory client portfolios.

Responsibilities
  • Be a member of a high performing team of investment professionals.
  • Support the production of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports that analyse and evaluate the performance of asset classes and markets.
  • Assist senior members of the team in the preparation of marketing and sales collateral and the development of the house view of the global economy and markets.
  • Assist in developing tactical investment recommendations for discretionary portfolios.
  • Prepare internal updates and insights on assigned economies and markets.
  • Monitor existing investments, including asset class and market updates and events.
  • Contribute to client events, internal investment seminars, and client meetings.
  • Provide input for and maintain investment content for the team.
  • Attend investment conferences and seminars as required for CPD or for input to investment reports.
Qualifications
  • A passion for investing and a strong analytical mindset.
  • Positive attitude, flexible outlook, high level of initiative and enthusiasm.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong commitment to personal development.
  • Degree or Master's level in a business related discipline.
  • Up to 3 years investment experience.
  • Willingness to complete QFA and CFA examinations.
  • Excellent IT skills, high competence in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload.
Fitness & Probity

The role is classified as a controlled function (CF3, CF4, CF10). Candidates must hold or be willing to take one of the following examinations: APA (Regulation & Investment) or Registered Stockbroker, or QFA. Because the function relates to pensions, the applicant must also take APA (Pensions). Employment is conditional upon meeting the Fitness & Probity Standards issued by the Central Bank of Ireland.
