Role SpecificationRole: Head of Platform
Reporting to: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

As Invensa's new Head of Platform, you will own and drive technology strategy development and execution, ensuring that strategy is translated into clear, executable priorities. You will work closely with our customers and suppliers, as well as internal and external stakeholders including product and operations teams, funding providers, and vendors. You will bridge technology and business needs: aligning customer needs, technical capabilities, and commercial strategy.
This senior leadership role combines strategic vision, technological execution, and team leadership, with direct responsibility for shaping the technology roadmap, defining success metrics, and scaling the technology organisation.

Key Responsibilities- Own and evolve the overall technology vision, architecture, and infrastructure for continuous expansion of the firm's inventory management platform, aligned with Invensa's strategic plan
- Translate strategic goals into tangible technology solutions and a detailed execution roadmap
- Define, track, and iterate on success metrics, using quantitative and qualitative feedback to inform decisions
- Productize and create blueprints, processes, and SLAs
- Build and lead the internal technology function, overseeing system design, engineering, integration, and support
- Ensure the resilience, scalability, and security of all technology systems, in line with regulatory and operational requirements
- Work closely with the business team to align tech development with the firm's strategic roadmap
- Work cross-functionally with our business team, ensure go-to-market alignment and effective product positioning; propose and develop platform features
- Gather insights, identify pain points, and validate technology decisions
- Ensure high-quality implementation flows, from concept to rollout; maintain healthy backlogs; remove blockers; take ownership for excellent technology product quality and UX standards.
- Define and track KPIs run experiments; drive continuous improvement based on data
- Manage outsourced development partners and drive performance across delivery cycles
- Oversee data governance and integration across core platforms (risk, operations, finance, compliance)
- Embed strong engineering principles, SDLC, DevOps practices, and robust QA processes
- Maintain a forward-looking approach to emerging technologies, regulatory tech, and system modernisation opportunities
- Lead Invensa's approach to AI enablement, including responsible adoption of AI and intelligent automation
- Define and deliver a coherent AI enablement strategy
- Serve as a key contributor to platform risk assessments, business continuity planning, and cyber defence strategy
- Build, mentor, and elevate a technology team that cares deeply about progress, entrepreneurial thinking, and product ownership.
Work Experience & Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in senior technology leadership roles, with a proven track record in fintech, financial services, or complex digital infrastructure
- Deep understanding of procurement and supply chains
- Deep understanding of SAP Hana (Required)
- Experience enabling and scaling AI use cases with clear business outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects
- Strong judgement on priorities and trade-offs across customer, commercial, and technical, considerations.
- Experience scaling technology teams and platforms in high-growth or start-up environments
- Able to translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical direction
- Can balance strategic vision with delivery excellence - equally comfortable defining the long-term roadmap and diving into day-to-day execution.
- Deep technical knowledge of system architecture, software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and information security
- Extensive background in managing complex, global operational frameworks and scaling technology infrastructure
- Ability to build systems aligned with governance and compliance standards
- Strong vendor management and outsourcing oversight experience
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field required; postgraduate qualifications or certifications in architecture, security, or cloud engineering advantageous
