The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Engagement Senior Associate to join our team. You'll be a key member of the internal engagement team, delivering work that continues to engage Ofwat colleagues positively during a period of uncertainty for the organisation.
You will work closely with the Head of Internal Engagement, support the delivery of our change programme and wider internal engagement and communications strategy, ensuring it aligns with colleague needs and requirements. You will be responsible for developing and managing our internal engagement channels, keeping them effective, engaging, and widely used by staff. This role offers a varied and dynamic workload, where no two days will be the same.
Internal engagement at Ofwat is growing and evolving and has great potential to become a professional and impactful function. As Senior associate, you will work with the Head of Internal Engagement and key internal stakeholders to advance our integrated internal communications and engagement strategy, ensuring it meets the needs of both Ofwat and its people.

About You
Below are some of the key essential experience, skills & knowledge required for this post:
- Experience in developing and delivering internal engagement strategies and working to maximise the impact of internal communications activity at a high-profile organisation.
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation, with the ability to write accurately, clearly and concisely, and use a range of channels; online, in-person and events, to engage a diverse internal audience.
- Experience of working collaboratively to deliver results, both within comms teams and across wider organisations.
- Knowledge of best practice in EDI communications and engagement to support an inclusive and diverse culture.
- Experience of using SharePoint intranets, Office 365 tools such as Yammer, and digital engagement tools including Slido.
- Demonstrable experience of regularly compiling, evaluating and reporting on comms activity to support improved future delivery
- Experience or knowledge of Change management and/or change communications experience
