Internal Auditor required for an Award-winning multi-sector group Sligo, Ireland Permanent, Full-Time role with Competitive Salary in Sligo, Permanent, Full-Time Qualification Qualified Accountant Function Group-wide Audit Lead The opportunity This is a rare chance to step into a senior, standalone audit role with genuine group-wide influence. You won't be buried in a team of 20. You'll own the internal audit function, present directly to the Audit Committee, and have a visible seat at the table with senior leadership. What you'll be doing Design and own the Annual Internal Audit Plan - presenting directly to the Audit Committee based on your own risk assessment Plan and execute audit assignments across financial, operational, and technology controls - verifying compliance with group policy Prepare and present formal audit reports and practical recommendations to senior and middle management Lead the group's annual risk assessment and drive remediation follow-up to close identified control gaps Partner with management to develop best-practice controls and lead or support key operational and system projects across the group What we're looking for Fully qualified member of a recognised accountancy body Background in audit at a large firm or internal audit in a large group Confident presenting to and challenging senior management Intellectually curious with commercial instinct and creative problem-solving Full clean driving licence and own transport Why this role stands out Own the entire audit function - real ownership, not a support role Visibility at Audit Committee and board level from day one Diverse, multi-sector group - no two days look the same Award-winning brand with a strong reputation across Ireland & UK Clear path to grow with a business that is actively expanding Ready to apply?
