Responsibilities
  • Software Development - Engineering of robust, scalable applications and systems, building prototypes using rapid application development techniques
  • Applications Support and Operations - Provide operational support for existing applications, such as data/code maintenance security, software updates, improve application management, deployment and testing through automation

About You

You will have a passion for all things technical as well as a curious and analytical mind. You will have at least 2 years' experience as a software developer/engineer and are keen to develop your skills further. You will have a Tertiary Level Qualification in Information Technologies or Computing.

You will have knowledge, experience, and confidence in the following:

  • Experience with common Internet and web technologies
  • Experience with web development and scripting languages
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a self-organisation / self-managing mindset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • One or more programming languages/frameworks
  • PHP (Native / Laravel / Lumen)
  • .NET/C#
  • Databases: MySQL / PostgreSQL
  • General understanding and ability to use Linux
  • Git (or other version control)
  • Containers: Docker
  • RESTful API development
  • CI/CD
  • Great understanding of: The internet business and an understanding of telecommunications products and solutions; Agile software development practices (i.e. TDD, DevOps and Scrum); Software development stacks, tools and best practices; Automated testing tools and best practices
