Job Description
Job Title: Intermediate Level Civil Engineer (Residential Infrastructure)

Cork City, Cork

The Role

Join a vibrant, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-impact large-scale residential developments. This is a pivotal role for a Civil Engineer with 2-3 years of postgraduate experience looking to elevate their career. You will work side by side with our Project Leads, taking an active hand in the design, coordination, and delivery of essential infrastructure and site services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Partnership: Collaborate directly with Project Leads to develop and deliver comprehensive civil engineering designs for major housing schemes.
  • Technical Documentation: Lead the production of construction drawings, specifications, and technical reports, ensuring every detail is "construction-ready."
  • Integrated Services: Design and coordinate vital site services, including sustainable drainage (SuDS), water networks, road layouts, and utility connections.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for architects, planners, and contractors to ensure a unified approach to project delivery.
  • Field Oversight: Perform site inspections to monitor progress, verify design compliance, and solve technical challenges on the ground.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Manage project documentation and ensure all designs align with current Irish Building Regulations and Health & Safety standards.
What You Need
  • Qualification: Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Proven Track Record: 2-3 years of postgraduate experience, specifically within the residential or mixed use sectors.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong skills in AutoCAD are required; hands on experience with Civil 3D or Revit is highly desirable.
  • Technical Knowledge: A solid grasp of road design, drainage systems, and site development works.
  • Local Expertise: Familiarity with Irish planning codes and utility provider requirements (e.g., Uisce Éireann).
  • Professional Drive: Excellent organisational skills and the ability to hit project deadlines in a fast paced environment.
