Reporting into our Director HR Business Partnering, this 6-9 month FTC, you will;

  • Support the People team and the evolving maritime digital organisation through a period of significant change following an integration of two digital businesses, into the newly branded OneOcean business within the LR Group.
  • This role partners closely with business leaders, managers and the wider People team to support the delivery of the integration programme for people, culture and processes with the aim of ensuring the merged business continues to be stronger, more cohesive and aligned to the new strategic goals.
  • The role requires a confident senior People professional who is comfortable with understanding the strategic goals with hands on delivery and can navigate through ambiguity, drive agreed change initiatives and champion a positive employee experience through the transition period.
Key Responsibilities Partnership
  • Act as a trusted advisor with business leaders and managers providing HR guidance aligned with the overall goals and priorities, including workforce challenges such as structure, capability and engagement relating to the transition
  • Day to day business partnering across the complete employee lifecycle to support the transition period with all stakeholders across the business. Can work hands on across the operational agenda but also manage complex transformation activities.
Change and Transformation
  • Lead or support on agreed change management initiatives related to the transition including organisation design, communications and cultural harmonisation.
  • Accountability and ownership of delivery on end-to-end agreed organisation design actions, from guiding leaders / managers through the right options to execution of all aspects of the change, partnering with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Support leaders in managing change effectively through coaching, communication and practical HR interventions to enable sustained change behaviour.
  • Lead or support on people projects to support the transformation across the complete People agenda.
Employee Relations
  • Provide expert advice on employee relations matters, ensuring consistent and fair handling during a time of transition and change.
  • Manage employee relations matters across multiple geographic locations and across multiple company policies.
  • Provide hands on HR support for employee relations, policy interpretation, and all ER cases including performance management.
  • Management of complex employee relation cases.
Talent and Performance
  • Partner with managers to ascertain key talent and align with the People leadership team on retention strategies where needed.
  • Partner on global initiatives to evolve OneOcean's culture into one that reflects innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Support with cyclical performance management activities and setting up of new programmes to align with the group.
Operational Excellence
  • Partner with HR colleagues to deliver consistent practices and ensure compliance with local employment legislation and policies.
  • Champion continuous improvement across HR processes, policies and programs to enhance employee and manager experience.
  • Partner with People Operations and Talent Acquisition to ensure consistent and efficient delivery of HR services.
  • Support with compliance and governance activities for both the People team and the business.
  • Support to build accurate HR data to support decision making and workforce planning.
  • Hands on support and in areas leading on integration activities.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required Educational Attainment
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organisational Psychology, or a related field, preferred not essential.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD Level 7, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent) preferred.
Professional Background
  • Extensive experience as a Senior HR Business Partner within technology and complex global organisations, specifically through transformation programmes.
  • Demonstrated success in aligning people agendas with business outcomes and supporting organisational transformation.
  • Proven experience partnering with executive and senior leadership teams to through change.
  • Background in organisational design, workforce planning, and cultural integration within complex, multi-region environments.
  • Experience coaching and influencing executive leaders across engineering, product, and commercial functions.
  • Exposure to or understanding of maritime, engineering, or industrial technology sectors is advantageous.
