The ideal candidate will ensure minimal disruption to critical grant activity while securing value for money and future-ready functionality.
Job Description
Key responsibilities of the Interim Procurement Manager role:
- Procurement Strategy - Develop a tailored sourcing strategy and delivery plan aligned with governance, budget, and timelines.
- Requirements Definition - Refine and document detailed system requirements with stakeholders, including integration needs (e.g. Salesforce, finance systems).
- Market & Tender Process - Lead the end-to-end procurement process: market engagement, tendering, vendor briefings, and clarification management.
- Evaluation & Selection - Design and run a clear, auditable vendor evaluation with scoring tools and stakeholder input, leading to final recommendations.
- Commercial & Risk Support - Advise on contract negotiations, T&Cs, data protection, and SLAs to secure a strong, future-proof agreement.
- Implementation Handover - Provide a smooth handover to delivery teams, including clear documentation, risk logs, and lessons learned.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Interim Procurement Consultant should have:
- Experience as a Procurement consultant with expertise in the tech and IT sector.
- Practical experience in procuring process-heavy systems used by a variety of stakeholder groups.
- Public sector procurement experience.
- Strong knowledge of tendering processes and supplier management.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for data analysis.
- A proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
What's on Offer
- A day rate of between £450 - £550
- London based
- 4 - 6 month contract
