Job Description
6-7 month interim finance contract starting in September
We're working with a well-established financial services business in Bristol seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to support the senior leadership team through a busy period of quarterly reporting, year-end, and budgeting. This is a hands-on leadership role, managing a high-performing team of three Management Accountants (2 qualified, 1 part-qualified).
Key Responsibilities:Oversee financial reporting, controls, and validation of financial data Lead and support the team through quarter-end and year-end close Drive accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and budgeting Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of key outputs Provide oversight on tax-related matters (a small but important part of the role)
What We're Looking ForQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a financial services environment (insurance experience is desirable) Strong technical reporting and controls background Diligent, detail-oriented, and confident in validating financial data Available to start in early September 2025 Interviews are being scheduled throughout August, so if you're an experienced interim FC looking for your next challenge, get in touch today.
