Description
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to improve business performance.
- Oversee VAT returns and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial records are maintained.
- Support the external audit process by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the finance team.
Profile
A successful Interim Financial Accountant should have:
- A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
- Proven experience in financial accounting within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
