Interim Estimating Quantity Surveyor, (Masterplan)

I'm hiring a freelance / contract Quantity Surveyor with a strong engineering or MEP bias, focused on cost estimating for large-scale master plan developments. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in building services or MEP-heavy schemes at the early design stage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver cost estimates for MEP/building services packages in master plans

• Input into early-stage feasibility, zoning, and concept design cost planning

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and planners on technical cost strategy

• Benchmark infrastructure and services costs across large, complex sites

• Support value engineering, risk analysis, and procurement strategy

Requirements:

• 5-20+ year's QS experience in consultancy, with an MEP / engineering focus

• Strong background in large master plan projects within construction

• Skilled in cost planning tools (e.g. CostX, Excel, etc.)

• MEP/Engineering degree or QS with technical services experience preferred

• RICS, CIBSE, or equivalent accreditation's (desirable)
