# Interim CFOAccounting / Finance,CFO & Chief Financial OfficerOctober 20, 2026Temporary Job Description Temporary Cheshire Posted 9 hours ago £1,000 per dayWebsite CV-Library I am currently recruiting an Interim CFO for a PE backed technology based people services business.This is a hands-on role, working closely with the CEO to strengthen the finance function and embed commercial finance across every area of the business.The successful candidate will be able to ensure business leaders are given accurate, relevant and useful financial information, allowing them to make better decisions, drive growth and take accountability for performance.Your focus will include:Acting as a trusted and challenging partner to the CEOEmbedding commercial finance across the wider businessDeveloping the right financial and operational KPIs to drive growthImproving management information, forecasting and cash visibilityProviding clear insight into WIP, billable hours, utilisation and revenue recognitionImproving visibility of project, client and team profitabilityEnsuring business leaders receive timely, accurate and useful financial informationChallenging assumptions, decisions and underperformanceHolding budget owners accountable for delivery against agreed targetsPrevious experience of working within Private Equity and a people-led services business is essential. You must understand the financial and operational drivers of a business in which revenue is generated through people, time and delivery. This will include:Work in progress and accurate WIP valuationBillable hours, utilisation and capacityRevenue recognitionProject and client profitabilityCost of delivery and employee productivityThis is an initial three-to-six-month assignment, based at least 4 days a week on site
