Job Description

Global Enterprise Partners is currently looking for an interim CFO for our client in the Limburg area of the Netherlands

As CFO for the region Belux, you will be responsible for efficiently managing country specific of Belgium and Luxembourg. This includes but is not limited to overseeing and managing the financial operations, profitability and performance of the organization. You will provide strategic financial guidance, ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance and contribute to the overall financial planning and decision-making process to achieve profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies and plans to support the organization's objectives, and support Belux CEO, and the management team, in his goal of profitable growth.
  • Conduct financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. As such and as per "Lead model" (Matrix approach and Governance of the company), you will have the responsibility to control directly the specific Application business Line (ABL activities) as well as indirectly activities from Global Business Line (GBL activities); in a Matrix environment with GBL and ABL activities.
  • Ensure full Corporate Controlling & Reporting in reporting tools and processes; and take responsibility on Monthly Forecast both on ABL and GBL side.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and provide regular reports to senior management (including Europe Cluster CFO, Country Board).
  • Identify areas of financial improvement and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Manage Cash Flow management, reporting
  • Monitor internal controls and processes to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity. Support the external audit process.
  • Provide financial information and support for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and control expenses, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Analyze variances between actual and budgeted results and recommend corrective actions.
  • Manage Cash Collection and ensure control on DOR
  • Optimize cash management processes and minimize financial risks ( Review of WIP, Overdues, Litigation ).
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, providing guidance and mentoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to support strategic initiatives.
  • Work efficiently with SSC and LFD team.
  • Team of circa 10 heads, with 2 direct reports.

Profile

We are looking for a results-driven finance professional with a passion for strategic financial management, with:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (eg, CPA, CMA, ACCA) is preferred.
  • Proven experience (typically 20 -25 years) in financial management, preferably in a similar role or industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, financial modelling, and reporting.
  • In-depth understanding of international and local accounting principles, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders, with a track record of building and leading high-performing finance teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of integrity and ethical conduct in handling financial information.
  • High work ethics - propriety, emotional intelligence, empathy, high communication standards at all levels of the organization
  • Fluent English language skills; Dutch speaking will be a plus .
  • Localization Maastricht, being present on premises will be important to work efficiently with the management team.
