Join a paid summer internship where you will work on researching biodiversity related regulatory frameworks and help design and develop biodiversity reporting templates for offshore energy and marine infrastructure projects. About the hosting organisationRestore Blue is an Ireland-based start up developing an AI powered platform to support biodiversity protection and enhancement in offshore projects. Its work helps developers and stakeholders identify and assess nature inclusive design options earlier in project planning, with the aim of improving decision making, reporting quality, and biodiversity outcomes.
The PositionYou will support the project Regulatory Aligned Biodiversity Reporting Module for Offshore Energy. The role focuses on researching and consolidating biodiversity related sustainability reporting and regulatory requirements across Europe, with inclusion of the UK as a key offshore market. You will help turn these requirements into structured, user friendly outputs that can support future reporting features within the platform.
What You Will Work On- Conduct structured research on sustainability reporting frameworks and regulatory requirements relevant to offshore infrastructure across Europe
- Map and synthesise key biodiversity related obligations across jurisdictions
- Develop a standardised classification system for reporting criteria, indicators, and evidence requirements
- Translate regulatory requirements into practical reporting templates and guidance
- Support the design of a framework for future automation of reporting outputs within the platform
- Compile and structure datasets to support consistent and scalable reporting
- Work with internal product, policy, and data teams to align outputs with platform developmentContribute to summaries, visual frameworks, and implementation recommendations
You are a Master's student with a background in environmental science, marine science, sustainability, environmental policy, or a related discipline. You bring strong research and analytical skills, are comfortable working with complex regulatory information, and can turn that information into clear, structured outputs.

- Experience contributing to a defined workstream in a mission driven start up
- This is a paid internship offered through the InTent Internship Programme ()
- The internship is expected to start between 15 June and 15 July 2026 and will run for 3 months
- Selected interns may also become part of the broader programme journey, including the virtual kick off on 16 July 2026 and the SEED Impact Summit on 24 September 2026
