Job Description

Novate Global Markets (NGM) is an independent securities boutique specialising in sales and trading services for institutional investors in global fixed income markets.

NGM is looking to continue to drive excellence within its service of tailored sales and trading strategies to its diverse institutional clients.


NGM headquarters are based in London, with a branch in Singapore - with 60 employees across both locations.


Role Summary


As an Institutional Salesperson, you will be working within a diverse and lively Dealing Room alongside 30 salespeople and traders across London and Singapore. You will be responsible for facilitating the buying and selling of fixed income instruments to existing Institutional clients whilst continuously acquiring new clients.

This role will be ideal for someone seeking to develop and utilise their dynamic sales skills within the Financial Sector. Training schemes and ongoing support will be provided, depending on the level of experience of candidates.


Main Accountabilities


  • Contacting a broad range of institutions by phone to acquire new clients
  • Generating end-to-end sales activity for clients within OTC markets
  • Researching relevant market activity and monitoring financial developments relevant to customer base on a daily basis
  • Maintaining effective relationships with clients by phone or face to face through regular meetings. Depending on geographical location of clients, you may be required to travel overseas
  • Whilst working under time pressure, effectively communicating and collaborating with internal Traders regarding client prospects, quotes and market feasibilities
  • Keep abreast of market movement and monitoring of IB 'chat' via Bloomberg
  • Attending the 7.20am daily morning meeting between London and Singapore to productively discuss key recent market events, ideas and select client business
  • Liaising with the Dealing Room Strategist to gain product knowledge, ideas and research where required
  • If required, attend internal 1:1 and group training sessions focusing on specific topics such as bonds, yield curves and optimal usage of the Bloomberg Terminal.
  • Maintaining the CRM system


Qualifications


- Educated to degree level or above

- CISI Capital Markets Programme - Modules; UK Financial Regulation, Securities and Derivatives.


For candidates who are yet to complete the required modules, the Company will sponsor full course materials and exams.
