Installation Fitter / Technician

An established Irish engineering business in Cork is expanding its installation team and is looking for two hands-on Fitters. You'll be fitting finished, engineered products into client facilities, many of them in highly regulated pharma, food and beverage environments.
Your week will be a mix of site-based installation work, supporting the engineers, and some workshop and logistics tasks back at base. It suits a practical, tidy tradesperson who takes pride in a clean finish and presents well in front of clients.
Responsibilities- Install project equipment at client sites to a consistently high standard, working alongside the engineering team and, after training, independently.
- Keep the engineers informed of any issues on site so they can be resolved quickly.
- Follow client site rules, permits and safety requirements on every visit.
- Prepare, pack and deliver orders with accurate paperwork, and collect materials for upcoming projects.
- Fabricate and cut stainless steel components in the workshop to support live installs (full training provided).
- Carry out weekly checks on the company vans and keep them clean and roadworthy.
- Organise installation documentation for each project.
- A mechanical or trades background and confident use of hand tools.
- Experience working to health and safety standards on site.
- Safe Pass, Working at Height and Manual Handling certification (ATEX awareness a plus).
- Full clean driving licence.
- Exposure to pharma, food and beverage, or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
- Presentable, reliable and comfortable dealing with clients directly.
- Competitive salary up to €45,000
