Opportunity Summary

We have a vacancy for a Quality Inspector/Level 2 NDT Technician.

Role Accountabilities
  • Carry out 1st off Inspection (CMM / Manual) / Receipt Inspection / Calibration activities to support operations.
  • Run CMM programmes; analyse and record results and make appropriate quality decisions.
  • Maintain the integrity of CMM programmes ensuring they are stored correctly.
  • Support the internal non-conformance process; raise rejects and capture all containment.
  • Liaise closely with Engineering to ensure smooth transition of new products - New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Complete FAIR packs by means of CMM / Manual Inspection.
Inspection
  • Perform Inspection operations (MPI, DPI, and Visual) in accordance with procedures.
  • Ensure NDT equipment is maintained and suitable for operation.
  • Conduct control checks and tests in accordance with procedures.
  • Interpret and evaluate test results against defined acceptance standards.
  • Generate work instructions in preparation for Level 3 approval.
  • Manage workflow to meet production requirements.
  • Prepare and authorise product test reports.
  • Achieve and maintain Level 2 approval in the relevant NDT method to ensure coverage within the BromfordPS.
  • Conduct tests and inspections to ensure product conforms to customer specifications and definitions.
  • Ensure parts are processed in accordance with business work priorities on a timely basis.
Person Specification
  • 5 years' experience in the Aerospace/Automotive Industry in a similar role.
  • Level 2 NDT Certificate in Penetrant Inspection.
  • Experience working to production timelines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with SOPs and company-specific documentation.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, with a positive outlook.
  • Team player, able to get along with others.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy at all times.
  • Capable of working to deadlines.
  • Effective workload management, prioritising where necessary.
