EIS Versilia is seeking a Music Teacher
Levels: Primary & Secondary School Academic Year: 2025/2026
Location: Versilia, Tuscany Immediate availability required
EIS Versilia is looking for a passionate, creative, and tech-savvy Music Teacher to work across both primary and secondary levels. The ideal candidate combines a strong musical background with innovative teaching skills, integrating live performance, composition, and digital tools-including music production apps and podcasting-into a modern classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Music to students aged 6 to 18, adapting lessons to suit different age groups and learning styles;
- Deliver dynamic lessons that incorporate music theory, performance, listening skills, and music history;
- Use digital tools and music apps (e.g. GarageBand, Soundtrap, BandLab, Chrome Music Lab) for creative composition and collaboration;
- Guide students in developing and producing original podcasts and digital storytelling projects;
- Organize and lead school concerts, ensembles, choirs, and special performances;
- Encourage participation and creativity through inclusive, student-centered learning;
- Collaborate with other subject teachers on interdisciplinary projects (e.g. sound in science, rhythm in language, music in storytelling).
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Music Education, Music Performance, Musicology, or a related field;
- Recognized teaching qualification for primary and/or secondary school;
- Certified C1 level in English (CEFR);
- Experience teaching Music across multiple age levels;
- Proficiency with at least one musical instrument and vocal/instrumental ensemble leadership;
- Familiarity with music production software and basic audio editing tools (e.g. Soundtrap, Audacity, GarageBand, Anchor);
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
