We're looking for a hands-on engineer who enjoys improving real-world environments: reducing technical debt, tightening configurations, standardising platform baselines, and making systems more resilient.

You'll take findings from health checks, assessments, and scan outputs and turn them into practical remediation work-sometimes implementing changes yourself (patching, hardening, config fixes), and other times producing clear, step-by-step guidance for delivery teams. A big part of the value is making remediation repeatable through Scripting and automation.

Must-have

• Strong troubleshooting experience across infrastructure and applications.

• Solid Windows Server + networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, certs, ports, load balancers basics).

• Proven experience patching, hardening, and remediating configuration issues.

• Ability to interpret assessment/scanner findings and turn them into actionable work items.

• Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell ideally; Bash/Python also great).

• Clear technical documentation skills and comfort working across multiple teams.

Nice-to-have

• Database platform familiarity (SQL Server, Oracle) from a configuration/security angle.

• Certificates/encryption/TLS configuration experience (including renewal chains and debugging).

• Experience building configuration baselines (CIS-style hardening, GPO standards, golden images).

• Exposure to vulnerability management tools and remediation workflows (eg, Tenable/Qualys etc.).

• Experience working in regulated environments or change-controlled estates.
