What will you be doing

As part of our Infrastructure team, you'll work hands on across a unique mix of plant, systems and facilities, building specialist skills, becoming SQEP on key assets and contributing directly to the ongoing transformation of a nationally significant nuclear site. Some, but not all responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out core maintenance and operational duties within your demonstrated competence, supporting fault investigations and keeping accurate records of completed tasks for the site maintenance schedule.
  • Becoming a Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person (SQEP) on various plant items as required by the Site Licence, support project delivery and contribute to continuous improvement across safety, security, environment and quality.
  • Undertaking a role in the Site Emergency Scheme as well as being required to be a classified worker as specified in the IRRs.

You will be:

  • Educated to National Qualification Framework (NQF) level 2 (England and Wales) e.g. NVQ level 2 / SCQF level 5 (Scotland) or equivalent appropriate technical qualification e.g. City and Guilds, BTEC, NVQ.
  • Experienced in working in an industrial environment.
  • Competent in using industrial hand tools and equipment such as cranes, FLTs, MEWPs, and general plant/maintenance equipment.
